A gift I recently made for someone was a Hamsa puzzle painted onto four 3"x3" canvasses, using her kid's hand as the stencil.  I made each canvas into a magnet so she and the little one can enjoy taking them apart and fitting them together in different patterns.  I wanted the backgrounds to be bold to make the hands pop off the canvas and play tricks with the eyes.

Materials: wood, cotton (canvasses); acrylic paint; Modge Podge; magnets; glue
